A few places were offering a special DineLa lunch special so decided to try this place. You get a $1 off on the tri tip sandwich. It was OK, if a little pricey. It came topped with pickles and a couple of onion rings.Regularly $16, for dine LA it was $15. You order at the bar, and are given a buzzer to pick up your order. Lots of outdoor seating.

Great outdoor area to grab drinks with friends/coworkers! I had the hard kombucha they had on draft and enjoyed it! Quick service ordering at the bar, staff was attentive!

Walked through the Grand Central Market and was delightfully overwhelmed on a Saturday morning in late October hunting for a nice brunch with endless options that all looked fabulous. Lines were long at some places and others weren't open and I was feeling indifferent and maybe not caffeinated enough nor down with being in a crowd. So we exited and started walking and noticed the Maple Block Meat Co space that was an open air bar and wonderful patio and just opening, They had two brunch options just on Saturday and Sundays in addition to their regular offerings so I ordered the breakfast burrito to share with my husband and a large Michelada to also share. You pay at the bar and then pick up your food at another window - when I got my burrito the amazing woman who cooked it saw my amazement when I saw it, and smiled. Listen, I have lived in Arizona, traveled through most all states in southern US - THIS WAS THE BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. A. The filling: Wickedly divine smoked brisket, cheddar, onions, peppers, tomato, diced tator tots, avocado, queso, eggs, and who knows what else, it was ecstasy. B. The freshest tortilla to wrap it all up, so tasty, so fresh C. The best house made hot sauce We are scarred now, nothing will ever compare.

I've been to Maple Block Meat Co a few times now on my lunch break and it's not too shabby. Located at Grand Central Market, it's just outside the main entrance on Hill Street (directly across the street from the Angels Flight Railway). You order at the bar, they give you a pager, then you go to the window to pick up your order when it's ready. Seating is purely outside in a shaded patio, so when it rains get it to-go (or eat inside GCM). The patio is nice but there's lots of falling leaves so expect to play goalie for your food/drink or you'll get an extra ingredient. The tables vary from private to communal so expect to rub shoulders when it's busy. They also don't really clean the tables much so you're at the mercy of the kindness of whoever ate before you. My go-to order is the Loaded Brisket Fries - pure bliss! The Brisket Sandwich is also good but bring your appetite as it's pretty big! Brisket... brisket... yeah I'm sensing a pattern here - just order the brisket! If you're near GCM and looking for some good BBQ, get your grub on at Maple Block Meat Co! They have Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 4PM-6PM.

Cool little bbq spot at the grand central market. I loved the corn bread it was moist and cooked to perfection. The Mac n Cheese was also tasty I enjoyed the thickness of the cheese. The Tri Tip tacos were ok they weren't bad, but i definitely want to comeback to try the ribs. The staff were polite and kind when I picked up my meal.

I believe this location was "Horse Thief BBQ" before the Covid-19 pandemic. Still the same menu and the meats taste similar, meaning they're very flavorful but on the salty side. My favorite is the brisket, very tender with good meat-to-fat ratio. The pork ribs are just ok. I never order tri-tip because it's usually dry cheap cut of meat. The sides are good especially the cornbread. Pricey but even as a local you're paying the tourist tax here in GCM. $26 1-meat item combo + $14 one a' la carte meat (compared to $24 3-meats combo + $6 one a' la carte meat in Dallas) IMO the best American BBQ I've had was not in Calif, not in Texas, but in Denver Colorado.

This Maple Block Meat Co is located at Grand Central Market, opposite side of Egg Sluts. What is nice is that there is dog friendly, outdoor seating available (although this seating is for anyone who visits Grand Central Market and is not exclusive to just Maple Block Meat Co). My husband, our little girl dog and I came for a visit this past Saturday, around 11:05 am. We were greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter. We ended up purchasing: MadeWest Pale Ale- My husband ordered this beer. I didn't like this beer that much but I am limited to a few types of beers that I like. My husband liked his beer though. Schoner Tag (Hefewizen)- I like German beer, the floral taste is really nice for me and I feel that it is smooth and quite drinkable. This beer was good and easy to drink. Loaded Brisket Fries, $16 prior to tax- My husband decided to get an order of fries and though it would be even better to get the loaded fries (originally he was just thinking about just a side of regular fries because it's always better not to drink on an empty stomach). These fries were good but a little spicy, probably from the chipotle aioli and the jalapeno. But I am not much of a spicy eater. My husband, who does like to eat spicy foods, thought it was just fine. The portion size was plenty for the 2 of us to share (and our little girl got a few bites of the plain fries). --------------------------------- (Total= $37.23 after tax, prior to tip) Wait time was about 15 minutes for our food. We were given our beers after we paid at the register. We were also given a small pager to let us know when our food would be ready to pick up at the pick up window. The employee who took our order gave us a few tasters to try of the different beers before deciding on what to order. He was very nice and patient as I was trying to decide what beer I'd like best. The employee at the pick up window was also very nice. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would consider coming back.
